I have a problem, I went to the Dr. on Fri and got a refill for all of my meds: Vioxx, topamax, lidoderm patches, and Kadian. I stopped by Kroger to get them filled, and pharmacist told me they had everything in stock except the kadian, I left the 3 scripts there, and went back to work and called around to several pharmacies, I finally found a walgreens which is a 24 hour store, they informed me they did have these, I went over there, and pharmacist said that there was something wrong with the way the Dr wrote the script, and had to call him before filling it. So I waited, After about an hour she said I would have to come back, they were still out to lunch and she left them a message. Well I called back around 6 that night, she informed me that the Dr told her DO NOT fill the script. I was puzzled b/c he had given it to me that day, and It was due that day for a refill.
I argued with her on the phone about why he refused it, After putting me on hold for 15 minutes, a Man gets on the phone, and tells me the reason was,, that I was supposed have a total of 4 prescriptions, and it seemed funny that I was only getting the kadian filled. So the Dr made the decision, that they should not fill them until he spoke with me.

I did tell them that the other scripts were already filled earlier at kroger, and that they did not have kadian in stock, so that's why I only had 1 script left.I gave him Krogers phone #, and the location, so he could verify this. His reply was that I should call my Dr on Mon. and tell him.

I cannot believe this has happened, now I feel like my Dr thinks that I am only out to seek narcotics, and am not taking the other meds. Plus I am now out of my pain meds, I'm sure i'll be fine,
I did page him Fri, and he never returned my call, I guess it's not an emergency. It just seems to me that they shouldn't had rushed to judgement, before asking me where the other scripts were. I picked them up on Fri,on my way back from walgreens, the kroger pharmacist said she would be happy to tell my Dr what time I dropped the scripts off, and that they were out of the kadian. So I guess I will have to go to his office on Mon, and confront him.

I went to my Dr's office this morning,9:00am with all of my scripts, nurse tells me that the Dr cannot see me, but she will talk to him, when he has the time. I waited until 11:45, and she finally informed me, that I signed an agreement that states I will use the same pharmacy for all of medications, therefore I violated the conditions. The nurse informed me that this was my first, and final warning, not to violate the terms of our agreement, They did end up calling walgreens, and ok'ed the kadian script.

I am definitly finding another Dr ASAP. This was BS, especially since the Dr refuses to return my pages. Evidentally, it must be a dying need emergency!
