Ok I know that this is off the subject of pain management but I know that you have had dogs for a long time and I was hoping that you could offer some advice on the situation. I have a german shepard puppy 6 months old. He has eaten everything in my house from my leg chairs to the tupperware I found this morning. As soon as I think that it is safe and everything is up and out of his way here he comes again. I don't want to banish him from the house but he can't keep this up either. Also he digs holes in my yard! Do you have any suggestions? I think that I am at my wits end. You know I give that dog soo much love as well as everyone else who meets him. I am not sure whatto do. Any advice would be great! Thanks Mo

Hey Mo and Autumn,
Yes I bumped it so that I could find it again when I got home from work. Autumn oh friend of mine you know me to well. Mo about the puppy stage. It's the most fun and the most agrevateing stage of all because of the chewing thing. I remeber when my wifes dog cheyenne was a puppy he virtually chewed on everthing including my antic radio that I had fully restored. I thought for sure that the dog was going to lose it's life on that one. LOL. Oh well we made it thru though. I recommend that Mo have alot of chew toys around as many as it takes to keep the little monster from chewing the precious stuff. I know that at one time we had about 25 toys around including Raw Hides they tend to love the raw hides alot but then they get distracted and move onto something else. thats why it's important to have alot of different toys around. There is also a spray that you can spray on you items that you diffenitely don't what the pup to chew on. It doesn't harm the or discolor what ever you spray it on But it sure tastes nasty to the dogs and they won't chew that stuff. I will try to remember what it is called because it works great. In the mean time have lots of mood stabalizers on hand for you. and lots of toys for the puppy and you will make it thru. LOL. But seriously it will pass in time usually after they hit the one year mark. And I will try to remember the name of that spray. Take care.....

Matt thank you so much for that! Hi Autum Angel How are you? I am going to go and find as many toys as possible for my little sweetie/devil dog :D. I really do love him with all my heart but sheesh shoes are ruined furniture is ruined and he steals clothes from the kids and runs around the house like a mad man; running and leaping on the couch tearing around the corner leaping back on the couch and so on. It is a funny thing to see but oh boy! Did I mention that he found a loose edge on my carpet and when I woke up one morning he had eaaten my carpet....its shot now we need to replace the whole thing! But I love him! Thanks for the advice and have a great day! Mo

Hi mo, When I got my first rottweiller pup she chewed and ate everything in house, including wet cement once, I was always against crates but I had to for her safety nad after a while I was able to leace door open and she loved to go in there to sleep, it is also a great tool for housebreaking. It was definitr=ely worth investment to save my puppys life good luck and God Bless
