Hi cowboy...I don't think we have met yet, but I was reading a thread where you had mentioned injections for pain management. I have had a semi hemilaminectomy on my l5 S1 for a horribly pinced nerve...the surgeon said it was actually KINKED!! Now that is over my original reason I went to the doc...my thoracic spine...is STILL having problems...I feel like there is a hot metal pole in my back all the time. I take 20mg of oxycontin the am and pm and 1 percocet 5/325 in the afternoon...but I am going to see if I can take two percs....after sitting in my desk all day at about 2pm the pain becomes unbearable. My question is do you know of any injections that can help thoracic problems? I know they are rare, but I really think I need more help than just pills. I am going to demand an MRI today or an EMG because my right hand is getting weaker and weaker...also I have lost complete function of my right leg at times causing me to fall and hurt myself pretty badly! :( Any help you or anyone can offer would be much appreciated....I already have one trigger point injection a month in the spot where it hurts.
Thank you for your time....

Hello,
I am sure that if someone had had this same problem that they will respond as soon as they can!
I have had ESI and nerve block injections but the are all in the lumbar area (L4-L5 and L5-S1) of my spine. You can read some information on that under the thread "Still in pain from injections" posted by HockeyCrystal. Also, if you search for my username, you will find a few posts from the day of my procedure and the days following!
I hope you get some information soon!
Good Luck,
AV
