I have been having problems with gallbladder pain for a few months now and I'm full of small gallstones. My surgery is scheduled for November 7. My question is.....does anyone have any ideas for easing of pain(3 days straight now)other than drugs? Something I can drink or eat to help.....or a certain position? There is so much pain and nausea it's unbelievable. I went to the doc yesterday hoping I could get my surgery early.........but he said if I go to ER they will probably only give me pain meds and send me home because of the scheduled surgery next week. I can't handle this much longer........help!!

Well, This is my first time posting with this new board... I am sorry, but the only advice that is going to be helpful here is stay away from fatty foods and sodas and that sorta thing... Anything with fat or cholesterol is going to make things worse, but staying away from that stuff will not make things better, but at least it won't get worse. If you have to, go to the E.R. and get some pain meds until your surgery date, because if you are anything like I was, the pain is excrutiating and not much else helps it. Unfortunately, my doctors wouldn't give me ANYTHING for the pain, so if you can get it, take advantage!

Sorry I can't help more!

Much love,
Crystal
