Hello Mike,
I tried drinking quinine or tonic water for the terrible dystonia I got in my left foot. It didn't work. I think there isn't enough quinine in it to make any difference. I also tried quinine pills, and they didn't work either. I'm thinking the cramp is not so much a cramp as a symptom of PD, and only PD medications help it.
On the other hand, I have tried vitamin E in large doses, like 2000 I.U. per day, and that did help. If I stopped the Vitamin E, the cramp came back. My cramp came on in the morning when I didn't have Sinemet all night.
I just had a DBS-STN procedure done and it has helped my cramps immensely. In fact, I'm only taking Requip now.

This is nothing about PD.I drink Tonic water with the quindine. My toes feet and legs cramp up is very painful,Happens even when I get in the pool.I have a friend that swears it helps. So far it seems to help a little.I think the tablets would be better. What have you got to lose Mike.
