To anyone that participated in the Amgen Study:

There is a movement taking shape on the MGH board. Someone on that board that was extremely frustrated with the Amgen study had the good fortune to catch the eye of Dr. Perry Cohen. You might remember from one of my past posts that Dr. Cohen was the first patient representative to the FDA in a PD clinical trial. He also has a history with the neuroimmunophilins and the Amgen study. Since Guilford Pharmaceuticals has now regained the rights to the product and has expressed a continued committment, Dr. Cohen has begun to develop a relationship with them. Guilford also seems much more interested in the input from the PD community. It looks as though Dr. Cohen will act as a liason to Guilford for the group on the MGH board. If you were a participant in the Amgen study, I strongly urge you to check this out. I have personally corresponded with Dr. Cohen. He's trying to do some great things!
This could really make a difference and I know these companies listen to him.
The MGH board is at www.braintalk.org (http://www.braintalk.org)
just scroll down until you see the Parkinsons section
(NOT PLWP - THAT'S A DIFFERENT BOARD, GO PASS THAT)

I'll be back with updates.
thanks
