Hi, all - just an update, had C-4/C-5 fusion done Monday, complete with a plate and 2-4 screws, so now i can officially say I have "more screws loose", ha ha. Lifing is definitely restricted, but walking is strongly encouraged. Still some residual pain/numbness in arms/hands, but they said it should clear up and be better in weeks to months, depending. Well, my eating is better, but liquids is still the more favorite/able. Sleeping in the recliner is the best positions, so hubby has bed all to himself for awhile, with my neck collar on for 1 month. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, they came through. Lory

Lory,

I'm so happy for you that things went well. Now you can concentrate on the DBS/STN!!

Googy - I don't remember if there's therapy, but I've kept all my records, so may go it on my own -- PT is so very expensive. Thanks for the thoughts. Lory

Will try this again - my fingers were racing ahead of the brain. What I started to say, is I just agreed to be the spokesperson for stem cell research for Lane County, by the OHSU-parent organization. Don't know what it will entail, but (almost) anything for research, I say. Thanks for the thoughts. Lory
