I was diagnosed with ADHD 6 years ago when I was 17, and have been on ritalin ever since.
I was wondering if anyone knows if it effects (lengthens) the time it takes to climax during the act of sex. Right now during sex I dont climax at all. Does anyone know if this is a known side effect of ritalin and if it is does anyone know away around this problem.

Cheers

This is a common side effect with Ritalin and similar drugs. It can be frustrating to be mentally stimulated but not able to manifest these feelings in the physical.
Ritalin does not stay in the body for a long time and you will be able to climax if you stop taking it for a day or so. Try reducing the dosage as well and see if it helps. The short answer is that it is common.

Just a gut feel, but my sense is that many times people get used to taking these types of drugs and never combine it with other times of therapy/solutions and forget that for some, it can be habit forming.

See a doctor and try giving yourself a weekend break or longer to see if you can. There should not be any physical withdrawl symptoms other than possible lethargy the first day you stop taking it.
Good luck, Wil
