My 72 yr. old Mom was diagnosed with PD a yr. ago last April. Her meds (Requip) has increase from 1 gram, 3x's daily to 5 grams. Besides having the rigidity and slow movement, her worst sympton she describes as feeling spacey. She says she's not dizzy, but feels strange or airy headed. She has a hard time explaining this feeling. After they increase her meds, this feeling seems to clear up for awhile. Does anyone have this feeling too , as she's really bothered by it. By the way. My Mom just prior to being diagnosed last year walked several miles every day and was in the best health of her life till this awful illness struck. She's just bought a computer and will be reading this bulletin board.

Requip may cause dizziness and sudden sleepiness. The symptoms may be more severe in the elderly and when taking antidepressants or antihistamines.
I don't know if this is the cause of your mother's problem, but pd drugs may have many side effects. Increasing the dose, increases the chance of side effects and we all react differently to these drugs.
Their are other drugs your mother may try, such as mirapex, or sooner or later she will have to take Sinemet.
