I'm sure we've all been there. The great weight gain brought on by PD.
I used to love going to the gym and doing Body Pump and aerobics but started to realised about two years ago that my balance was not good. I was out of rythmn and trying to do step aerobics was hilarious. Now where do put my foot and why won't it go there?

I've put on 30 lbs and my blood pressure is going up. I thought perhaps a walking tape might be good but what are the chances of my falling over? Aaaarrrrgggg!!

I'd love to hear from anyone who has had some success in any way.

Cheers

Here are seven dos and don'ts to speed up your metabolism and lose weight from WebMd. If you have AOL, they have a lot of information about losing weight on this web site.

1. Don't fall for "fat burning foods." Example: celery or grape fruit.Stories that claim grapefruit increases the body's ability to burn up calarories is a myth.

2. Don't fast or skip meals. In fact, one source recommended eating five or six meals per day. Denying the body of essential elements will cause the metabolism to slow down and increases the storage of fat.

3. Spice up foods for taste. Spices do not burn up calaroies, but helps you eat better choices of food such as chicken snd vegetables.

4. Drink water
Lack of water can slow the metabolic rate. THE liver will concentrate on retention of water rather than burning up fat.

5. Tone up
Aerobic exercise will burn up calries. You burn the most calories with sustained activity that gets your heart rate up.

6. Tone up
Muscle is more metabolcally active than fat Teplacing fat with lean muscle makes it easier to maintain your weight.

7. Watch those calories
Your metabolism slows dowwn about 5% per decade A slower metabolism is a natural part of aging. To maintain a stable eight you must adjust your caloric intake and/or physical activity.

The bottom line when it comes to metabolism, "If it sounds to good to be true, it is."
