Hi all...
I wrote the other day on behalf of my aunt who has PD. She is currently on Sinemet 50/200 3xday. Are there other meds prescribed in conjunction with the Sinemet? She sees her neuro on August 2nd, and I'm trying to gather information for her.
Thank you so much for any suggestions and/or advice.

Linda, Comtan is a good combination with Sinemet. It prevents the breakdown of Sinemet allowing you to take less Sinemet and extending the time between doses
Requip or permax are in the agonist class of drugs, and act in a diffrent way then Sinamet in elavating the dopamine level.
Sinemet remains to be the "gold standard" or the most effective pd drug until the dose is increased causing dyskinesia.
Another effective drug which i take is Bromocriptine (Parlodel)
