Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding fatigue in PD. I've read that it is a normal symptom in PD but I don't ever really hear anyone elaborate on this symptom. Is there anything that can be done to help it? My dad's PD has recently caused him to sleep way more that usual. He sleeps all night, gets up in the morning for a little while, and then either falls asleep in his chair or goes back to bed. He says that he feels tired all the time and kind of dizzy. Does anybody else feel this way? If so, do you know if there is anything that can help it? I'm assuming it is a part of the PD. He is going back to his neurologist next week.

Any insight anybody has would be appreciated. I'm trying to learn all I can about this disease but everybody's symptoms are so different that it is hard to just go by what you read in books and pamphlets.

Thank you so much for any information anyone may have.

Jennifer. fatigue, poor muscle strength and little stamina are all aymptoms that i have. I had the DBS surgery, expecing improvement of those symptoms, but it didn't help and the meds don't have any effect either.

This has caused a big debate between me and others who have had the surgery. They claim the have more energy after the surgery, but my MDS tells me the surgery has no effecton on those symptoms.

After my own experience and what my MDS told me, I don't believe these symptoms can be corrected.

I don't spend long periods of time sleeping, but i just adjust my life style to cope with it.

Bruce
