Keep in mind every pd patient has a unique set of symptoms and may not necessarily have all four of these symptoms.
1. Rigidity, usually one side affected, usually affects the arms and legs.
2. Resting tremor, usually on one side and this is significant for pd.
3. Bradykinesia, slowness of movement.
4. Difficulty walking, caused by a combination of bradykinesia and poor balance.

Googy, i am doing fine. The fishing is good. A neighbor boy caught his first large bass, and his grandmother took his picture with the fish. He was really excited.

The rigidity u mention, does it affect certain parts of the arms and legs? or generally all over?
Bruce 08-12-2003, 12:15 PM
The rigidity is described as a stiffness or "soreness" in a shoulder or hip and usually starts on one side.
In my own case both legs are very stiff when i first get out of bed, and it is difficult to raise up from a chair or to walk easily. As i move around throughout the day the leg muscles loosen up and i can walk easier
I have now picked up another symptom which may be caused by rigidity. I have chronic pain in the left shoulder. It can get fairly painful, but a hot shower helps a lot, and the pain lessens throughout the day just like the stiffness in my legs.

Today when I first woke up, the bottom half of my left leg was absolutely killing me, it was really painful. For about 5 or 6 hours, I couldnt walk properly because it was to painful. But my mum told me to keep moving it and eventually the pain went away, and I can now walk fine withoutit hurting. But now I have a little ache in my left arm....does this mean anything?

I am really at a loss for an explanation of all your symptoms. All i can tell you is discuss these symptoms with your doctor.
