My sister and I had to file a committment paper for our father after speaking with his landlord. He was in the office at the motel/apt. speaking to a rock. When ashe asked what he was doing, he became angry and asked her what business was it to her. She ordered him out and he went out and kicked a tree and was cussing. He proceeded to his rm and locked himself in and was kicking the walls and screaming. She told me that he has being up all night talking to himslf and that we needed to get him some help. I explained that we had tried for many years but had no luck due to his alcohol and drug abuse even though he would do these things when he wasnt under the influence of anything. He has showed parinoid behaviour as long as I can remember. He could never hold a job or a place to live, has no relationship with any of his eleven brothers and sisters or his five daughters. We try to have a relationship with him but he gets parinoid thinking we are against him or out to get him in some way. He has told us that demons have spoke to him. He used to keep us up all night when we were growing up talking to himself.
We finally got him in Mental health but they want to lay it off on drugs and alcohol. When he went in on last Wed. he wasnt on anything and then on Sat night they wanted to release him but so happen to run across the court order. They want us to drop the court order but we feeling he hasnt been properly diagnosed. We have told them about all of the above and about him trying to kill hiself in the past and trying to harm others. Everything we have said seems to have fallen upon deaf ears. They made a statement that they needed the bed free!
My father needs help andhas needed help for a long time now. Now that he is there, we cant get them to do anything for him. They have only took a smaple of blood and that's it. We was told there was no way to diagnose Bi-Polar or skiso. and I know that people are diagnosed with this every day! Just because my father has used aclohol and drugs they refuse to look beyond that. They refuse to listen to his family that has been around his and witnessed his behaviour all our lives. I am 37 years old now.
Please.. if anyonehas nay info on what we can do please let me know.

Thanks and pray for him and us!
