Is it possible for a doc to put you on Risperidal if you do not have SZ? I was put on it yesterday, but I was told it was to relax. Later I found out what it is really used for. I've only had 2 episodes where I thought I heard something, so I'm not sure if they think I have it or not. Please help!!

Don't feel bad, my doctor put me on zyprexa, then later risperdal without giving me a direct diagnosis.

The doctor is unsure but I'm pretty sure that I do have schizophrenia. I have had all the classic symptoms like hearing voices, hearing music in my head, hearing my thoughts in other people's voices. I also had some paranoid thoughts that my mind could be read by others and that I could read the thoughts of other people. Pretty weird stuff. Right now I'm trying to stabalize myself with medication and vitamins.
