Hey, i was just wondering, i get really sick if i miss a dose of geodon, does this happen to anyone else thats on geodon? please if anyone knows anything about it! im a newbie here, and i hope someone will help me out with this. i am also on a wide variety of meds, including abilify, seroquil, geodon, celexa, ativan, topamax, and neurontin.

gosh! that's alot of meds to be on. Is it necessary to be on that many atypicals? Is there added benefit from taking more than one atypical antipsychotic?

i don't really know to be honest with you, my doctor just thinks that i belong on them. the seroquil is mainly for helping me sleep at night. i guess she thinks that the geodon will help me with my depression as well as with my paranoia, and hearing things, i don't really know to be honest with you, but thank you very much for the reply

Hi, newbie here...I take Geodon along with four other psych meds. I haven't missed a dose so I can't tell you if it makes me sick to miss a dose. I'm going off two of my meds tomorrow so we'll see how I feel then, but I'm staying on Geodon. You are on alot of antipsychotics, my pdoc only has me on one. Sorry if my experience doesn't help, but so far Geodon hasn't made me sick at all. Best wishes to you.

I am on almost the same meds as you except I take effexor instead of celexa. I do not get sick if I miss taking the geodon. I feel slightly strange but that could be because I am forgetting all my pills at that same time and not just the one pill. Just my thoughts.

geodon will make you very sick if you miss it for two days. I had the shakes, chills, could not tell if i had to go to bathroom or throw up. this is a med to come off slowly. I am sure that is not your intention but I would definitely try to remember those doses. This is a terrible feeling I allmost had to go to hospital for this. Hope this helps wish you well

I was on geodon, and didn't get sick when I missed a dose occasionally. What did happen was I had a hard time getting to sleep. I discontinued taking geodon because it caused me to lose a lot of hair, but the good part was I lost weight while taking it. It really helped with my symptoms, though and I miss that, but it upset me about the hair loss.

I've been on Geodon for about 4 years along with Zoloft. I've noticed that I HAVE to take my Geodon at the right time (8 pm) or I can't sleep. If I've forgotten to take it I will stay awake all night (Did it once!) Around midnight I start getting really nauseous. My body starts getting shaky. I can tell if I missed it at around 10:30 pm if I'm wide awake and wired--usually, I'm asleep at that time).
