I have been feeling sort of bad for the last 5-6 years and the doctors have found no reason for it and ended up putting me on Prozac. My brother-in-law visited for the holidays and he has ADD. He personally thinks that I exhibit all the symptoms and need to get to a specialist immediately. My problem is I cannot find anyone down here. Can anyone help? Thanks!

ADD doesn't make you feel bad physically, and doesn't require medical attention, unless you decide being on medication for it would benefit your life.
I decided to start taking medication for my ADD a few years ago as I am a teacher of children with ADD, and knew if I didn't start taking medication, my classroom would be an unorganized, crazy mess.
Are you unorganized, forgetful-always leave lights on, leave little messes whereever you go, messy-as much as you try to clean house, you get so distracted that it's more messy by the time you give up than it was when you started?
When not taking medication, I had to make myself lists everyday, and only do one thing on my list at a time, or else it was impossible for me to finish a task.
I think your physical ailness might be something else.
How are you feeling bad?
If you are feeling depressed, moody ect. the anti-depressent is a good choice. I have read a lot lately though that many women with ADD also suffer from depression at some point in their life.
If after reading this, you think you may have ADD, I would recommend reading up on it, and decide if you want to try out medication. It has helped me tremendously, and my husband appreciates it too!

Thank you for replying. Yes, I do have those symptoms. I am always writing notes and then do not remember where I put them! If I don't write something down forget about it getting done. I am not motivated and get distracted very easily.

Thanks - I have an appointment with a Neurologist in about 3 weeks. Didn't know if this is something they should specialize in or if it is a neurologist that is best suited to diagnose you.

Try Dr. Anthony Yacona in Boca. I highly recommend him.
Good luck ...
