I just started on Adderall (generic) 15 mg this morning. I got a BAD headache shortly after taking it and have had it all day now. I feel slightly lightheaded also. Is this a side effect that will go away? If so, how long does it take?

I've been on Adderall XR (10 mg) for about a month now, after switching from Ritalin. I did feel light-headed for the first week or so, and my heartrate would go up more quickly than usual from exercise. Now, I rarely feel light-headed, and the heart thing passed as well.

As for the headache, I know that this can be a side effect as well. BUT you should definitely tell your doctor about this, and not just hope that it will go away--especially if you continue to get headaches. You might need to lower your dose, or you might be having a bad reaction to Adderall in general.
