Hi, I was diagnosed with PCOS about the first of the year. I had many symptoms for years but never was given the correct diagnosis. I have had 2 successful pragnancies. I had normal cycles up to the birth of my first child and then stopped having them after for about 2 years. They checked me for tumors and every thing but nothing ever showed. Then after going to healing service at church, for a totally different reason, I began to have cycles again. I believe that I recieved healing for more than I hoped. It took me about 4 months to get pregnant. Once again after the baby came I started having very irregular cycles. They finally stopped and it had been about 7 months without one. My new doc put me on glucophage for insulin resistance which goes hand in hand with PCOS, and bam my periods came back after about 2 months. It took me another 5 months to get pregnant but honestly we were not trying too hard. I had cysts rupture as a teen and early 20's. I was tested for hormonal inbalance but always came just within normal range. I would be on the high end of normal for testosterone but low end for estrogen. When I took clomid for a while, I felt so good because my body was finally getting estrogen. It blocks the signals to the brain that say to stop producing it. That is how it increases your odds of producing at least one egg. I have never had any invasive proceedures done. Had it not been for glucophage, which I quit as soon as I found out I was PG, I don't think that I would have gotten here. I also lost 20 pounds on it with out trying to at all. :)
