I have read that many medications stop working during puberty and in some cases have the opposite effect...hype you up vs. calm and increase focus ability. Has anyone had results with their kids going without meds during this time period?

I will definitly take my son off med when he reaches puberty he is only 9 so I willProbably do it even before then

We are sure that my husband had adhd as a child but as soon as he started middle school things really changed for him. He calmed down and was better able to handle the work. Everyone is different but it is worth it if he can do with out the med
