View Full Version : ADHD and DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR

I was wondering if anyone's child that has adhd is prone to destroying things. My 5 year old daughter seems to not help it when she breaks things or tears things up. This happens at it's worse in the morning before she takes her Adderall. I'm not sure if her behavior is connected to the adhd. Sometimes I want to rip my hair out at some of the things she does or gets into. Once she has her medicine though, she doesn't have the urge to destroy. Once she ripped the wallpaper off the hallway. Another time she broke part of the tile off the floor. This kind of stuff happens everyday if I don't get up before she does. Maybe someone else goes through this too? I'm feeling really alone and not sure what to do. Can someone relate?
