My b/f is going to Las Vegas with some friends. He plans to hit a few strip bars while he's there. What exactly happens in those places? I think the laws vary from state to state, but what about Las Vegas? Do they have lap dancing? Is touching allowed?

Call 'em what you wish: "Strip Joints", "Exotic Dance Clubs", "Topless Bars"; You know what we're referring to.
Note: In general, any club in the Las Vegas city limits which offers total nudity is NOT permitted to serve alcoholic beverages. This does not apply to locations outside the Las Vegas city limits. Many places charge a cover charge, a few do not, some offer free admission with Nevada ID. All require guests to be over 18 years of age.
This is about the best info I could find on the web regarding Las Vegas Strip Bars.

A little bit more info, those that dont serve alcoholic drinks dont stop the people from bringing in their own. Hubb was tdy while there a little bit ago. He was telling me how funny it is that they cant serve alcoholic drinks but you can bring your own. Matter of fact I was with him for a few days of that tdy and saw many guys ordering the largest drinks they could find and then carry them into the strip clubs.
General rules are that there is no touching on the guy's part but the girls can if they so choose to do so.

The Famous Palamino club is a good one. They combine comedy and stripping. When I went, the comedian was hilarious and the strippers were decent. They do have lap dancing. I think for the most part touching is not allowed. I suppose it is up to the individual stripper. While prostitution is legal in much of Nevada it is not legal in Las Vegas. Thats not to say it doesn't happen. It is widespread and readily available. It just isn't legal and done in an controlled and safer atmosphere like at the whorehouses outside of town. I don't know if that is something you're concerned about but figued I'd mention it.
As far as what happens, the girls come out on a runway and strip and dance to music. There's usually a pole that they swing on and grind. The palamino does serve alcohol so the girls there keep their thongs on.
I'd say its fairly harmless entertainment for anyone who likes checking out nude or scantily clad women.

I used to work in Reno and touching was not allowed. But a lot of the girls would go to Mustang Ranch. That was, well, what I heard, a prostitution type of place...ya know...the best little whorehouse in texas type.
But I never saw it for myself...and this is just hear say.
Now....drinking for the dancers was allowed and I used to get really drunk...and fall off the pole a time or two...lol
