Yes it is so normal it has its own name. It is called a queef and has a variety of other names to boot. It happens when air gets pushed into the vagina and it has to come out eventually. The most common reason for it happens is the guy pulling out too far during intercourse and then air gets pushed in. So you can tell him not to pull out all the way during intercourse and that should help.
But honestly it happens to us all at some time or another and nothing to worry over.

Thank you Blastoff. I got too embarassed and deleted my post. After I did so, I saw your reply. It was very helpful. Now I know that it happens to others also and I'm not abnormal. Thank you so much.

I find you only get 'em when the sex is really good. So I don't see how they can be considered a bad thing!

LOL who hasn't had one;-) Anyway, they've happened here and there for me, instead of getting embarassed , we just smile and get more into it lol. It's all good. Then again, we;ve been together for awhile, so it's not like we really get embarrassed in front of each other.

....
If air gets in there, and you are menstruating, the air *can* seep into your bloodstream, and trigger a synthesized heart attack, killing you.
nice to know, right?

Piepants, are you serious about that one? I have never heard of that.
But if it's true, where may I read up on this?
Yes, injecting a small bubble of air directly into the bloodstream via needle can cause a heartattack (because that one bubble of air is pumped instead of blood, throwing the heart completely off). But that bubble must remain an "intact bubble", not dissolved particles in the bloodstream.
Then there's the matter of how the air bubble gets absorbed into the bloodstream by the female genitals, regardless if it stays a bubble or if it breaks down. I'm not familiar of anything in the female genetilia that absorbs anything except during pregnancy. That would be the umbilical chord (and even this only absorbs waste from the baby for the mother's body to dispose).
How does a bubble of air get absorbed by the uterus (or any other part of the female genitilia) during menstruation & still remain a "bubble of air"?
Curious... If I'm missing out on anything, please inform me.

Piepants...just wondering where you got that information. Would like to read up on it. Although I would never have sex during menstruation. To me, that's just gross and embarrassing.

Here are some facts.
Yes, it's a true but very rare occurrence. When air is blown or forced directly into a vagina — without allowing any air to escape — an air embolism (the abnormal presence of air in the cardiovascular system) could form, which can be fatal. Women who are more at risk for this unlikely possibility are those whose pelvic vessels are enlarged (meaning, increased blood supply to the vagina) due to a condition such as trauma and possibly pregnancy. So, if a very large amount of air were to be blown or forced into their vaginal canals, it's possible that the air could enter their bloodstream, causing a blockage in a blood vessel. As a result, some of these women, perhaps including the pregnant women's fetus, may experience complications. In extraordinary cases, some of these women (and the fetus) may die if the embolism travels to the heart or lungs.
If you like blowing air into your girlfriend's vulva, and if your girlfriend enjoys the sensations brought on by this, it may give you two some peace of mind to know that gently puffing some air into or breathing on a woman's vulva during oral pleasuring appears to be okay. However, it might be better to suck, kiss, lick, probe, press (with lips or fingers), or lightly nibble a woman's vulva or clitoris than blow or force air directly into her vagina. Safer and enjoyable oral sex on a woman mostly involves using a dam, finding out what feels good to her, and practice

A queef. I was wondering if there was a name for that. It has happened to me also. We usually laugh, and continue to have fun ;)

i cried the first time that happened to me...I think it scared me, and my first reaction was to get so embarassed - i started sobbing...which actually was a bit more embarassing than the actual noise!!
