Hi Iam an adult and Iam on ritalin right now but it doesn't work very good, I take 20mgm in the am and 20mgm about 4pm. I use to be on Provigil which worked wonderful accept its not on the insurane preferred list so they only pay 50% so that would make it $150 a month, somehow that not in my budget. The doctor wants me to start taking adderall, I was wondering if anyone has been on ritalin and gone to adderall and what was the diff.? thanks

I understand you must be concerened about the change in meds. Although everyone reacts to meds differently, my daughter was on ritilan and then switched to adderall, and it has worked wonders for her. She was kind of out of it for the first couple of days, but it was like night and day. She responded to adderall wonderfully. She's been on it for about 2 1/2 years now and it's still working great. Sometimes when she gets her meds filled, she has trouble sleeping, but nothing too serious. Her appetite is great and her overall self is healthy and happy. Good luck in your decision to change meds and I hope I could be of some comfort to you.
