ANyone familiar with this mental disorder? if you are, would like more info, or know anything about it and wish to discuss, please post/email me.
My mother has focal dystonia in her right hand from playing violin for many years. What FD is, in a nutshell, is for example; my mother played violin, lots of repition. FD affected her as so she cannot move her fingers/hand at all when they are in the "position" on the violin.

There is a lot of information about various types of dystonia online. I just found one myself a few days ago. Type dystonia on a Google search engine and go from there. There is the Dystonia foundation, a Dystonia research foundation, and more. Already I have been mailed a package of free dvds and videos and books about it from Georgetown University! And I live in Minnesota. The message boards are great because you can talk to many people with the same types of dystonia, compare treatments, meds, and encourage. God Bless, and Good Luck!
