hi. my name is krissy and i am 15. last august 2000 i was diagnosed with a conversion disorder and pseudo-seizures. the treatment plan was pshyc therapy and the medications paxil and neurontin. i was told that this disorder came from when something extreamly tramatizing happens in your life. i was brought up in a country-like town where there was no real activity where i attended a private school. nothing extream ever happened, so i dont understand how I, of all people can be diagnosed with a conversion disorder. i also read in an article that you are supposed to stay conscious during these psudeo-seizures and that they dont happen while you sleep. i pass-out during these psudoe-seizures and they also occur in my sleep. i have had cat scans, mri's, and an eeg test, all which showed nothing.

i am determined to find out the truth about what is happening to me. i have visited web page after web page and all my symptoms lead to "partial-temperal-lobe-seizures". but because in august "seizures" didnt show up on the eeg the doctors refuse to do any more tests. i am in search of a new doctor and more information that may help me find the answer. these "twitching spells" that are happening to me are not a phsychological thing, it is some sort of seizure..but because the medical proffesion is too thick-headed and too cocky to listen to a 15 year old i have to find out all by myself with the help of my family.

if you or anyone you know have any suggestions, doctors names, information, web sites, etc... please e-mail me at KrissyRulez@yahoo.com.

thanks.
Krissy
