Since October, 2000 I have suffered with lumps in the left and right facial cheek areas. They are not visibly noticeable to look at me but to touch my skin, you can feel the lumps subdermally. I have had 3 biopsies all of which have shown inflammation and some abnormal cell formations. I have seen an ENT, rheumatologist and an immunologist. My docs now want to refer me to a derm-pathologist. The lumps wax and wane on about a 3-4 day cycle and seem to respond to anti-inflammatories but never go away completely. my doctors are perplexed and at a loss as to what is causing the lumps or as to how to treat it. The condition is very painful and I am looking for anyone who has had this same problem or a doctor who maybe has come across this condition. I need to find a diagnosis and figure out how to treat this so i can get my life back. thanks for any help anyone can give me.
