I need advice. I have been getting dark spotts on the bottom of my lips. The first time it happened was Freshman year in high school, and it lasted for a few months. It didnt happen again til I was a Junior, and it lasted for a few months as well. And then again my senior year. I am 21 years old now and it's happening again. I dont know what it is, i though it was because of dry lips, but i use chap stick constantly and it doesn't go away for a few months. I have no idea what it is, it isn't painful or anything it's just very dark spots on my bottom lip. I don't know what it is or how to get rid of it, and I dont want to wait a few months for it to go away either. If anyone knows what this is and how to get rid of it, let me know..
Thanks!

Peutz-Jegher's syndrome can cause dark freckles on the lower lip, oral mucosa and other areas. It is associated with intestinal polyposis and massive gastro-intestinal bleeds.. The duodenal polyps can rarely become malignant. It is an autosomal dominant syndrome.
Maybe have those spots checked out by your doctor, or a gastroenterologist.
Kind Regards
R.
