Hello. I am trying to find someone out there who has had a problem similar to mine. In 1998, I was diagnosed with having a schwannoma (pronounced ssh-wa-no-ma). It was a tumor (non malignant) located in the left cavernous sinus near Meckel's cave and caused a great deal of pain and headaches that were terribly painful and lasted for weeks on end. My eyes crossed and I developed double vision before my dr. decided to order an MRI. They found a quarter-sized tumor and my world turned upside down! I have been told that the condition is relatively rare. I have only met one other person who had the same problem as me. Thankfully, I am ok now, but will have to have MRI's for 2 more years (5 in all). I am also looking for websites, chats, and message boards that address this type of ailment. Any help would be greatly appreciated! You can post a reply here, or e-mail me directly at queeniebean95us@yahoo.com. My main concern is the recurrence rate. Thanks so much in advance.
