Does anyone out there have or know anything about
gastroparesis? It is paralysis of the stomach, vomiting constantly and pain. My friend has had it for a year now with really no hope of conquering the symptoms. She will always have it, I assume, but she cannot work anymore and is mostly homebound. She is my best friend, and I would do anything to help her. If anyone can give me more info on this, please let me know. Thanks, Linda

Do a search on the net for it. There is lots of information about this condition. There are treatments for it. I read that Johns Hopkins is going to research and test Viagra for this problem. There is also a medical device which is implanted that stimulates the stomach to contract and empty. The device is called Enterra. Gastroparesis is usually a complication from diabetes. There are medications for gastroparesis.

My dad has had gastroparesis for years now and it took them many years to diagnose. At this point though, he is on some medication from Canada and also goes in periodically and has Botox injected in his stomach. The do this by using the endoscopic tube down the throat. It has helped him tremendously. Also, I believe that I may have it and will be looking for the same treatment. Hope this helps.
