I have had this sinnce I can remember as a child, but it started with banging my head and rolling and now finally just moving my leg. Has anyone else had this? Does this behavior have anything in common with childhood abuse in any way or some how connected psychologically. I am very interested to know what others with this think. Thanks

OH MY GOD, I CANT BELIEVE YOU HAVE THIS ALSO! I AM 29 AND USE TO BANG MY HEAD ALL THE TIME FROM LIKE AGES 1 TO 15, AND I WOULD ROCK BACK AND FORTH UNTIL LIKE 20, WHEN ME AND MY AT THE TIME BOYFRIEND NOW HUSBAND WERE GONNA MOVE IN TOGETHER, I THOUGHT TO MYSELF HOW AM I GONNA GET TO SLEEP NOW? I HAD TO DO THAT IN ORDER TO FALL ASLEEP! BUT THE FUNNY THING IS HE WIGGLES HIS FOOT ALSO, SO I HAVE FOUND A NEW WAY TO FALL ASLEEP ALONG WITH HIM. THIS IS SO WEIRD ISNT IT?

Hey There..sorry it tookk me so long to respond. I really should have posted this in the sleep disorder Catagory. i DRIVE ME HUSBAND CRAZY BECAUSE i HAVE MANAGED TO CONTROL THE HEADBANGING AND ROLLING BUT i JUST have to twitch my foot and move my leg or else forget it, Ill never get sleep. Strange. I remember my brother used to say I was retarted because I would have to bang my head. It is amasing that other people out there are like me! Its embarrasing, but now I dont feel so bad. Take care :)
