I have had RLS for more years than I care to remember. The problem is that I'm starting to get it earlier and earlier every day. It usually starts now somewhere between 4 and 5 p.m. and lasts into the night. It seems the more active I am with my legs (exercising, etc.) the worse it is. I'm fine until I sit down to relax at the end of the day and then all hell breaks loose. Right now my doctor has me on Sinemet around bedtime, and I also take Carbidopa/Levo when needed every 4 hours. Problem is I now have to start taking it around 4 p.m. and it does may me somewhat drowsey. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'm just worried that this will soon be an all day thing. Any suggestions as to what I might tell my doctor next time I go see him would be greatly appreciated.
