I have had chronic restess leg problems for years. The one thing tht has helped me the most is Permax. I cannot take narcotics as I became addicted after years of use for this problem. Do you feel Permax loses its effectiveness after prolonged use? I have been taking it for 2 years but it seems to be not working as well. I now take 3 pills and I hate to increase as it makes me so drowsy in the mornings. Any input will be appreciated.

I have been on Permax for over 7 years. I now take 3 per night and have been with the 3 for several years. I do find that occassionally three do not work and I need one more just for that night. That will happen about 4 times a year. I find that it happens when it is a cold night. Hope this helps.

I have suffered for many years with RLS and it is driving me nuts. I am now taking Mirapex and have been for several years. Most of the time it works well. But if I forget and take it to late at night the RLS kicks in. And if I should run out then I might as well really go nuts. There has been nothing that would help not even sleeping pills. If I sit too long in a car or airplane it starts. And not just at night. I have had problems during the day as well. There just has to be a better way to control this. Sometimes I feel I am loosing my mind.

SHARON,

Are you on any blood pressure medication by chance?
