Sponsor LiLMissADDitude 09-05-2003, 08:24 PM I am against meds unless they are absolutely necessary! Just had to state my stand point on the issue lol. Have you tried other treatments for her yet? If not then you definantly should. If no other treatments work and she is severe enough to need meds then definantly give strattera a try. It takes about 5 weeks to get results. Strattera is one of those medications that seems to work really really well or not work at all. For some people its a miracle, others hate it. It would definantly be worth giving a try though. And if it doesnt work you can always go back to what does work. My friend who has been on various ADHD meds since age 3 is now on strattera and says he likes it much better than any others he had tried, including ritalin adderall etc. So.... give it a try if it works great if not then no harm done. I had to fight with him daily to take it and it seem to make his symptoms worse. we swiched to Ritilan LA and it works great no stomach aches and he is eating and sleeping good. |
