Is it safe to have sex during a girls period? Kinda gross... but will it affect the girl any by doing on her period?

There is this product called Instead Cups.. they are an alternative for tampons and pads. You are able to have sex while wearing one, and it eliminates any mess. Also be sure your bf is wearing a condom. There aren't any health risks involved having sex while menstruating.... but like you said... could get messy. I would check out the instead cups.

To be honest about it, I used to have sex with a prior g/f of mine, while on her period, and I just don't recall there being that big of a mess! Have you tried it yet to find out?

You can find them at drugstores, I would call first. I wouldn't suggest having sex if you were having a heavy day. You can do a search for Instead Cups.. i know they sell them at Drugstore.com.
Buck, I have had sex many times while on my period, and it's never been messy, but it is still on the back of my mind. So taking precautions to ease your mind is a good thing.

my man and I have sex when I'm on my period and there usually isn't much of a mess. if your really worried about a mess just put a towel on the bed or where ever your going to have sex and it usually will catch what happens to fall if any. I've heard that the instead cups are very messy themselves b/c they don't absorb they just catch the blood but it's up to you..I've never used them just heard about them. good luck

my boyfriend and i lay an old towel down on the bed when i have my period. i wouldn't suggest doing it on one of your heavy days though. it's not a huge turn on though, as most of you know the smell is a little "off" during that time. but it's safe. you can still get pregnant though so make sure he wears a condom for that reason as well.

I've never found it to be a big deal. Putting the towel down is a good idea, and we usually do, but have rarely found anything on the towel afterwards.
