What are some common symptoms of ADD and ADHD
I have no idea what they are..but someone I know is in need of knowing them.

Inattention
Mind wandering
forgetfulness
disorganized
moodiness
hyperactive, jittery, moving around a lot (ADHD)

There are a host of symptoms of which I have just touched the surface. Try doing a search under attention deficit disorder or attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Good luck!
