we have a son who has pdd/adhd and maybe autism but no doctor can confirm tha the does have autism. which that really makes me mad, we have been to several doctors and first they say he does then it is no then it is maybe. but anyway we have a very hard time at home wit listen and disapline, what to do and knowing tha the understands us. any help will be appreciated.

How old is your son and what level of functioning is he appropriate to his age ?

he will be 8 in october but school wise he is at the end of kindergarten going into 1st. he is in 2nd grade but he has one on one help from the special ed room within his classroom. then he gets pulled out for reading and language and math.

I have two children (13 & 7) that are both Autistic with ADHD. The autism is the main disability with ADHD secondary.

Obviously the school sees some issues since they have delayed him. Will they not make an autism diagnosis? Both of my children were evaluated by the school district and give the diagnosis.

Whether, AU or ADHD structure and consistency are the best thing you can do. If he is AU it may seem like he is not listening but is he. (my daughters teachers always said she learned by osmosis as she never seemed to pay attention.).

his school has never diagnos him with anything. we have had to travel several times to see diferent doctors and never got the same or even an answer if he does have autism. i guess i understand him better then his dad cause his dad thinks he is just doing it to do it and that there is no reason why he acts like he does. please give me more advice

When the school district was no help to me, I took my oldest to Texas Childrens Hospital - Learning Support Center. Maybe there is a similar program near you, also check your local Universities, if they have a speech pathology program they typically will have some type of clinic to see/diagnosis children.
