Um, yes you can...sorry you are wrong. If you have a irregular period cycle, not very consictent every month, you can go on birth control pills to direct your period to a certain week or day. BCP are hormones that control the menstral cycle, as well as prevent ovulation from happening.

Anette,
Everyone is different. I mean, you could try to change it but I doubt it will work. My friend tried the same thing so that she didn't have her period during grad and she still got it then. Plus it could take a "while" to get your period back on track and that's just a pain in the ass. It sucks but it's all part of being a girl!!! Take a Midol or Tylenol Menstrual (works wonderfully!) to "tame" the PMS.

I went on B.C. 3 months ago to regulate my period. My boyfriend and I have our anniversiary (or "month-a-versiary) on the 28th.. when I used to get my period.. since taking B.C. I've purposely changed my cycle so that I don't have my period the week our our special day, it works.. if you skip the placebos or the green pills (in ortho) you shouldn't get your period. But, everyone's different... it's worth a try, though!

see when i said "control" i didn't mean "regulate." but HgSnKsS428, that is interesting that you can do that! true that it doesn't work for everyone though.

xaphania,
The whole reason I'm on the BCP is to regulate and "control" my period. Two weeks was wayyyyyyyyy too long!!! It helps to "shorten" and regulate it so it's not so irregular. That prolly doesn't make a whole lotta sense!
