Hi I was wondering if anyone has had any ill effects after drinking something containing caffine. I started Adderall 10mg about 11 days ago and it was working perfect, then yesterday I felt horriable. My head felt like it was filled with fog and like it was going to explode from the pressure. I thought is was because i took more than usual, so I told myself don't do that again and today I only took one. At first I was fine then about 2 hours later I started to feel the same things happen so it wasn't because i took the second pill yesterday. So I started thinking what could be wrong, well yesterday I made a pitcher of Iced tea, this is the first time I had drank tea while on adderall. It is decaf but do you think it could have an effect? I have always been sensitive to caffine so that is how I put the two together. Any input would be so helpful. I have had ADD all my life but was just tested about 2 weeks ago and I am 29 years old. I have tried Concerta and it made me feel "crazy" and confused. The adderall was working so good and now I am bummed. I can't afford to keep switching meds. So please any input would be great.
Thank you......Sweetnsour

I would just try to see if you have the same problem when you don't drink anymore iced tea. If the problem still persists, it's the tea. I have read somewhere that "decaf" is 95 % caffeine-free. So there still remain 5 % of caffeine and maybe you are responding to these 5 %.

thank you for responding. Yeah I'm going to hold off on drinking the tea. I hope it's the tea not the Adderall because it was working ! I just can't stand feeling like this. It's so funny when you finally figure out you are ADD or AD/HD and you look back at everything and it all makes so much sense. Caffine has always made me so tired and whenever i would tell someone they just would look at me weird.

What's up, I've been on medication for ADHD for the last fifteen years (i'm now 21 years old). Anyway, I've been taking adderal for the past seven years. Whenever I take Caffine with it I get terrible headaches and get extremely tired. I avoid Caffine at all costs when I'm on adderal. I talked to the doctor about it. Told her I was getting splitting headaches. She asked how much Caffine i was taking, I told her i consumed like four to six beverages a day with caffine.. she told me to stop... and I stopped getting those splitting headaches (but of course with adderal you still get those "mystery headaches"). Anyway, I hope this helps... just drink your tea when your adderal wears off =)

Hello Jeebus
Being on Adderal for seven years you should know a little about it? You ever had dizzyness with it especially lying down and standing up? I take the XR and I was up to 15 mg and started getting the dizzy sensations. Stopped taking it they went away now back on it but slow tried ten last couple days no problems just curious if you fought this?

Hey firebug, thats a pretty common side effect. (the dizziness I mean)

Wow, that dizziness sounds rotten. I sometimes take ritalin in different forms (and sometimes I forget!) and I just love coffee (and hate those caffeine deprivation headaches) way too much not to have some. But the combo gets me too wired. SO I drink my coffee when I wake up at 5 (yep! I've got little tots) then at 9 I take my meds. No problem for me. But Adderall sounds like it's kinda stronger stuff...plus people's caffeine reactiveness varies so much. My husband stays up all night if he has a Pepsi at lunch.

I tried the XR for a while, when i first did it, i was extremely dizzy, and quite euphoric. I talked to the doctor about it and she said that it was normal to intially have that and it would subside
