i am just curious if anyone has tried Attend as an alternative to meds. It is a natural/herbal approach. I am on week 3 (it takes 4-6 wks to get into the system)--seemed to be getting better..but today was horrible...(my ds is 5 1/2 yrs old) thanks

Have heard about it but never tried it. I take beCalmd and it works wonderfully. I looked at attend but it just had too many ingrediants for me, and it didnt have the amounts listed.
I would like to know how it works for you though. Keep everyone updated on your progress.
Is that the only thing your taking? What subtype of ADD do you have?

My son (5 1/2) has ADHD --just "officially" diagnosed last week, but we have suspected it for about a year or so.We were hoping it was just "immaturity" and he would outgrow it..but as he entered kindergarten, it became more apparent that he had more problems with focus, fidgetiness and impulse control than the others his age.
Attend is the only thing i am trying right now, and trying to cut way back on sugar.
I am going to increase his morning dose starting tomorrow--i will keep everyone posted and let you know if it works. There is just no "perfect" choice for me in the meds department...its a tough decision.

"Sorry for the late reply. I just joined the forum and saw your post. We have been using Attend for my son (11) for several months now and have been very happy with the response. Ryan seems more focused, more calm and more positive about school. He treats his little brother better too. His teachers noticed a difference and we didn't even tell them we put Ryan on a nutritional supplement. We are quite sold on it. I can't remember the exact web site adress we order from but you can find it by doing a keyword search for Vaxa Attend. Hope that helps!" - donnaovergard

Hi Freedom,
I was wondering what type of ADD your child has. Does Attend help specific types of ADD better than others? Thanks!

well, i this is the end of week 6 and we have actually seen a week of "good days"...I would like to think it is the Attend working and am hopeful that it is; but it also may be that we have changed his diet to cut way back on sugar and red dye. Breakfast now, also always includes protein..(peanut butter, bacon, etc...) I am crossing my fingers...

We are in week three and haven't seen improvement. We too have changed to a protein breakfast and lunch. I've cut out all juices and a lot of milk. I'm stressing water.
I've heard that cod liver oil has great results too, but I don't want to do too many things at once or we won't know what is working. I'm keeeping my fingers crossed on the Attend!

I'm thinking about trying the Attend strategy pack. Attend, Memorin, and Extress. But I'm hesitant because I havent heard many good things about the products.
