I fingered her...am I at risk for getting the disease as well? I know it can be transferred through the skin.

Never say never, but your chances are pretty low. If you got the virus on your finger then handled your penis you can potentially transfer it.

Um, yes, if you have a cut on your finger, yes, next time use protection on any part of you body that comes in contact with her vaginal area. Look on the internet on how to make dental dams. Um, as the person said, there is always a chance, if your finger came in contact with any open wound, or "hole" in your body, then you will have the virus.

It can be gotten through a cut in the hand? Is this true? I don't know that I had a cut...but what are my odds here? seriously.

1.
We aren't statisticians.
2.
None of us have contracted HPV through a cut on our hand or we'd all be here telling you how easy it is to do.
Rule is, be careful. WE CAN'T GIVE YOU NUMBERS. I repeat, we are neither statisticians nor are we doctors.

If your girlfriend has HPV, she should be agressively treated. HPV is the cause of cervical cancer in women, and penis cancer in men. Proper treatment, can effectively cure HPV, even though it's not generally classified as a curable disease. See drmirkin.com for his views on treating HPV.
You can get it on your finger if there's a crack, or any lesion in the skin. You can an infection with HPV and not have any visible signs, such as visible warts.
