Is Darvocet a safe drug if only taken one or two a day? I know it is a mild drug but is it addicting. I only take it for pain but I have alot of pain after having a shoulder replacement surgery. thank you for any input.

Thank you very much for your information Tricky, I will be very careful with it . I never take more than is prescribed and like I said I only take it for pain.

Yes, any type of mood altering drug is dangerous. Just be sure to check your motives and be honest with yourself before you take it. I would also stay in close contact with other recovering people that know you're taking it.

I relapsed on pain medication for migranes. Thank god it wasn't for very long but it snowballed and then I ended up drinking on top of the meds and wound up in the emergency room.

So be careful-----You sound like you have a good handle on it.
