I was just told that I "Might" have genital warts. I was told to put Aldara on them and come back in a month. Well, I am so worried about this that at night I cannot sleep. I Slept with one person who was tested and was clean. I don't understand how I got it. I engage only in oral sex now, and was wondering if it is ok to keep on doing it. I am also taking pills for plantar warts on my feet. I have like 20. Just wondering if maybe that is how I got these? Is genital warts really this big of a deal for me to be losing sleep over? Someone please help Im Scared.

Relax, they really are not that big of a deal. Just get it under control early. I had them 12 years ago and i never had any reoccurance. Genital warts are ususlly caused be the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) but I read somewhere that you could get warts on your genitals from the ones you would have on your hands. I'm a little disturbed that you were told you "might" have warts. Either you do or don't. What's the doctors story. As far as oral goes, ANY contact with the infected area can infect your partner. So basically no oral for you unless you have a condom on.
You can sleep now because it's not the end of the world.
Here is a web site I posted a while back with some good information you can read.
