I have been researching HPV reading the forum sites like this one and reading medical sites. I found a lot of conflicting information. After calling the Center for Disease Control and talking to someone that knew what they were talking about I have come to one conclusion. Some of these forum site posts are dangerous. A lot of the people posting answers to questions are completely wrong. If you believed everything you read here and the Yahoo HPV club it will scare the hell out of you. My advice to everyone here is to call the CDC's STD hotline and get the correct answers to your questions. Here’s the number.

You're absolutely right. Everyone should take responses with a grain of salt. People post responses based on life experiences. Some may be wrong and some don't apply to a persons situation. I've seen many blatantly wrong opinions that it's amazing. So you always have to be careful. And that's why a lot of people will give an opinion but also advise you to see a doctor.
