I have had limited oral sex with someone who had genital warts several months ago. Now I have developed a fleshy growth area inside my mouth in the area of tissue on the side of my mouth. The growth is in the area of between my upper and lower teeth. I have no idea what this is. Can genital warts be spread into the mouth?? Help! I can't find any information about this possibility on the web.

Well, babies born to mothers who have active HPV warts can develop the warts in the mouth and throat. So if babies can get it, why can't you? You should see your doctor and explain the situation.

Thank you sdp! Lots of good information there. I will see an oral surgeon about this.
