i have a bump about two inches above the base of my penis (in like the pubic hair area). it is red and is often itchy, it feels and looks almost like a mosquito bite. do you think its anything to worry about?
just for some extra info ive only received oral sex from one girl (who i dont believe is showing symptoms of anything and never actually touched the area where the bump is) and have never had sex. i have a feeling any std would be on the penis itself but im just checking...thanks

How long has it been there? It might just be an ingrown hair.

Yep, it sounds like follicitis, not genital warts or herpes. If it is genital warts, it wouldn't be itchy (just like other warts aren't). If it is herpes, it would come and go, not stay permanently like you suggested. I'd suggest going to a doctor *before* the symptoms go away so he or she can have a good look at it. You probably have nothing to worry about.
