The following post is from another message board. I don't know anything about gonorrhea and I wondered what you all thought about this.

A lady i know told me this. She and her husband were having a fight and she slapped him across the cheek with her bare hand. A few days later he notices he has a cut on his cheek and he said it was from her slap, as she has long nails. The cut didn't heal so he went to the doctor to find out why and the doctor took a swab from the cut and sent it off to pathology. It came back positive for neisseria gonorrhoeae, in other words the cut on his cheek was infected with gonorrhea! He believes she had G. under her fingernails but she denied it. She is going next week for S.T.D. check up. How would it get under her nails? This is weird. I know she had other partners and she doubts he did. I will be interested to see if her tests come back positive or not? ?

This is quite possible....say she touched yourself down there, and where she has long nails, bacteria can grow and multiply underneath the nails....it was not surprising that he would have tested positive for it!! This is where personal hygiene comes into affect..always wash hands after going to the bathroom..etc..etc...
