Hi everyone. I have a question for everyone that has oral herpes or knows a lot about it. I have noticed some large bumps on the back part of my tounge. They don't hurt when I swallow, yet again I just noticed like today. But I was wondering if you could have oral herpes and only have them on your tounge and no place else in your mouth:lips, roof of mouth..? I don't know much about oral herpes, but I'm so confused. Some other things that have been wiggin me out that are related to my mouth are I've had like "patches" of white skin on the sides of my tounge, that I can scrape if off with my fingernail. K this is going to get kinda gross...but the other day I was looking at my tounge and noticed like this "fatty/jelly/white skin stuff" like covering my tounge. I took my nail and scraped my tongue, and it just like all came off. Before I did that I had like really bad breath like all the time...no matter how many times I brushed my teeth, and chewed gum. It was so sick. So I scraped if all off and now it's fine. But I have a feeling it's coming back. Another thing is that my lips have been really dry and peeling a lot lately. I keep chapstick and gloss on the all the time, but it never seems to be enough. Can anyone relate to any of this? or give me some insite on what I should do? It would be a lot of help! Thanxs much. i know that their are two bumps on the back of the tongue which are normal everyone has them if that helps .

K thanxs... I'm just so parnoid about myself. I made myself the promise as soon as I go into the dr and get an STD check and HIV test done...I'm soooo through with guys until I'm married! lol ..... I'm just way too younge and active in everything (school,sports) to be worring about all of this. I always thought I'd never be "that girl" that had to worry about all of this, but in the real world everyone is that girl/guy. Well thank you for all of your messages and help everyone.

I heard someone talking about "yeast on the tounge", that causes your tongue to have a white coading on it. Does anyone know anything about this that could explain what it's caused from and how you get rid of it...?

I have a feeling u might have Thrush which is a yeast infection of the mouth, babies get this alot..., but go to ur doc to make sure for certain!!;-)
