I had brushed my teeth in the morning and had had some bleeding. In the afternoon I shared a straw with someone, if that someone had blood in their saliva could it have entered into where my gums were bleeding in the morning? How much blood has to enter into your body for you to be infected? Could that straw have had enough blood to infect me with HIV?

I know it's hard to believe, but HIV can be a delicate virus from what I understand. I imagine that if you dunked that straw in a pool of blood it might somehow be possible to get HIV that way, but the chances would probably be very slim. There are people who've had unprotected sex multiple times with infected people and never got the virus.
It sounds more like you're just super worried about HIV. I used to be obsessed with possible transmission and finally my parents took me to a psychiatrist after numerous panic attacks. I began to imagine that I had somehow contracted AIDS, when in reality I have OCD.
