Hi Everyone-
I have been battling plantar's warts (warts on my feet) for like 5 years now, which from the stuff i have read in medical books means that I am a carrier of a strain of HPV. My current boyfriend (of almost 1 year now)had a few warts removed on his hands about a month ago (and from the books, he too is a carrier of a strain of HPV) Is it possible for me to have contracted genital warts from either touching the warts on my feet and then touching myself AND does anyone know if it is possible for me to have contracted genital warts from his hands touching and being inside my vagina?
I am seriously nervous about this because I recently found a lump where my pubic hair grows about a week ago. I shave my pubic hair nearly every day and for a while assumed it was just an ingrown hair. I was able to pluck out a hair from the lump (it is not red, or pimple like, nothing came out when I squeezed it--it's pretty hard and seems like it is under the skin located on my outer labia) However, the lump has not gone away, or gone down in size...so I am wondering if this in fact sounds like it could be a genital wart???
I went to my doctor over the summer, and had my yearly pap exam and was tested for STD's (they were negative) but my pap came back abnormal, but my dr. recommended another one because during my visit I was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis for which I was treated for (which also could have made the pap abnormal) My second pap came back fine... Is there an actual test i can have my doctor perform that tests me for HPV? If so, what does it involve?
Thanks everyone- sorry for all the questions...Im just not sure where to turn.

Hi there-
Don't worry. It actually sounds like you may have a harmless cyst beneath the skin. I actually have one right now too. (I went to the doc and everything)
I don't believe genital warts are found under the skin at all.
Also, I am not really super positive on this one, but I believe there are so many different types of strains for HPV that you can't transfer them from foot to vaginal due to the different strains. I am not totally sure though.
Take care
